2010: David South

David is attending Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas and is pursuing a four-year degree in Business Administration. In 10 years, David plans to be working in an administration department of a hospital. In his application, David stated “I want to be able to help people and families get through their unfortunate situations of having someone who struggles with Autism…I want to be able to pull communities together to help lead people in the right direction on this issue.” He ended his future goals section with “My goal is to make living with Autism a little easier.”

In 2001, David was awarded the Eagle Scout Award by the Boy Scouts of America which is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program. The designation is held for life, “Once an Eagle, always an Eagle” is their motto. “Becoming an Eagle Scout has given me the knowledge and leadership skills it takes to manage and budget my life on a day-to-day basis. The training and survival techniques…have given me the power and will help to keep my head held high.” David shared. He went on to say, “This is the best training I have ever accomplished.”

David is a Towne Park Guest Service Coordinator at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas. Although they share the same last name, David South is not related to Jerry South, founder of Towne Park.
